Exhibit/Posting Space Procedure
Exhibit/Posting Space is available to individuals and groups for community events and information of a cultural, educational, intellectual, or charitable nature. This space is available on an equitable basis regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of those requesting space. Exhibits/Postings determined to be unacceptable are material of a commercial nature and:
- Advertisement of products or services; prices or articles for sale.
- Requests for contributions, including nonprofit or charitable institutions requests.
- Petitions or political literature supporting one cause or point of view
- Carelessly designed, untidy posters or brochures; materials torn from newspapers or magazines
The library reserves the right to reject exhibit/posting requests based on the above criteria.
The library does not endorse the beliefs or viewpoints of topics which many be the subject of exhibits/postings.
The library assumes no liability for materials/collections damaged while posted or displayed.
Posting Space
- Posting space is available on some library bulletin boards. Individuals or groups wishing to post materials will notify the library of their desire to do so.
- Materials must be dated with posting date.
- Materials will be removed and discarded by the library after the event has passed, or in the case of an open-ended announcement, one month from the posting date.
Exhibits
- Exhibitors will notify the library of their interest in displaying a collection.
- The library will schedule an exhibit time of not less and one week and not to exceed one month.
- Exhibitors are responsible for supplying all materials necessary for their displays.
- No part of any exhibit will be taped, glued, or otherwise adhered to any wall, door, window, or other library fixture.
- The exhibitor is responsible for the installation and dismantling of the display, neither the staff member not the library shall be held responsible for any loss or damage to the display.
- Should the library staff be asked to assist in the installation of the display, neither the staff member not the library shall be held responsible for any loss or damage to the display.
- No admission fee may be charged for viewing an exhibit, no many collections be taken, funds solicited, or any direct sales made.
- Exhibits will not be accepted for display until the exhibitor has signed the following release form:
