Community Service Policy

It shall be the policy of the Trustees of the Taunton Public Library to provide a program of community service for its young residents. This program will be limited to service required by local school departments, church programs, or established community groups requiring a specified number of hours of community service for specific programs of study or achievement. Such examples would be the National Honor Society, confirmation class requirements, Boy/Girl Scout badges. It shall also be the policy of the Taunton Public Library Board of Trustees to implement the use of the Criminal Offender Record Information resource (CORI) as a required by the City of Taunton, Department of Human Resources and to follow all procedures for such new hires as directed by said department.
